Review: Apple’s iPad 2
The iPad 2 release will probably go down in history as one of the worst choreographed launches a product has seen. It’ll also go down in history as one of the best launches ever seen. As of typing this, Apple is still showing a 4-5 week delay for online orders and still hasn’t launched internationally yet. Retailers have sold out their stock (some of it to scalpers looking to make an overpriced buck) with no indication when more is arriving. Its a loud echo of Nintendo’s Wii launch, parents clamoring to stores desperate to get the modern day Tickle Me Elmo. Only that was Christmas, this is March Madness. There’s no denying the iPad 2 demand is higher then when it’s first generation untested brother was unleashed and eventually awed the world.
When Steve jobs and company finally revealed the iPad 2, many people including myself were underwhelmed..
PlayStation Store Update: Find the Secret of Monkey Island and more sales (April 25 to May 1, 2010)
This week’s downloadable PlayStation 3 game is Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition for $9.99. In this classic re-mastered game players control a young man named Guybrush Threepwood who dreams of becoming a pirate by completing the different quests and trials given to him by pirates of Melee Island. For those fans of the original, the game features a scene-for-scene swap in both pixel and re-mastered artwork as well characters voiced-over by the original voice actors.
This week’s PlayStation Portable Download is Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess! for $4.99. This game can also be played on both PSP and PS3. In this scrolling platform game players control a demon called “The Duke” who after discovering his princess missing not only blames monsters for the kidnapping but goes out on a pounding rampage in search of her in 6 unique stages and up to 24 levels of monsters to deal with…
