Blizzard begins Starcraft II closed beta
That’s right, Starcraft fans. Starcraft II has finally entered closed beta. That means, of course, that you have to receive invitations from the company to play but, heck, at least it’s happening.
Beta testers are also getting a look at the new and improved Battle.net which will eventually collect World of Warcraft, Starcraft II and any future products into one streamlined service. Now it’s time to sit and pray for an invite. Though maybe we could all just compile a list of the things we’d do for a key and then pray that Blizzard sees it. Either way, there’s lots of prayer involved with receiving one.
Punisher: War Zone movie teaser trailer released
The first teaser trailer for Marvel’s next film, Punisher: War Zone, was released last week.
From the looks of this first glimpse at the third Punisher film, due to hit theaters December 2, 2008, this Punisher just might be the film adaption that fans have been hoping to see.

San Francisco Chronicle writer Peter Hartlaub has just published a scathing list of videogame franchises that, according to him, need to be retired. SimCity designer bashes sequels and bad games
SimCity designer o’ fame Will Wright was heard complaining that too many sequel games are currently on the shelves. Wright made the comments during an interview with the German website Stern:
Yeah, that is indeed a bad development. One would rather play it safe than be creative. Still, this seems to work. But for how much longer? Besides, there are simply too many games on the market. Lots of bad games are coming out because of this.
