Double Fine didn’t originally intend to make a Sesame Street game [Update]

Double Fine’s Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster came as a shock to everyone. It’s hard to believe the same company that made a game based around heavy metal would take on the Sesame Street license. The funny thing is that Double Fine didn’t approach this project with Sesame Street in mind. In fact, it was going to be a music game.

New Sesame Street Kinect game coming from Double Fine

Double Fine Productions has teamed up with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to create a brand new game for Kinect. Sesame Street: Once upon a Monster will be released in fall 2011. Double Fine’s last two downloadable games, Costume Quest and Stacking, have been very well received. Double Fine hasn’t had a retail release since 2009′s Brutal Legend.

E3 2010: dreamGEAR’s racing wheel, Sesame Street themed accessories

Video game accessories company, DreamGEAR, will be showcasing its newest products for E3 2010.

In fact, dreamGEAR teamed up with Sesame Workshop to create a line of Sesame Street products for kids and adults alike. The products will initially include a line of accessories for the Nintendo DSi, DSi XL and DS Lite portable gaming systems.

CES 2010: dreamGear to offer Sesame Street DSi, MP3 accessories

Game accessories maker, dreamGear, has announced that it plans to release “a line of accessories for the Nintendo DSi portable gaming system” (according to the company’s press release) based on Sesame Workshop.

The specific DSI products will be announced during the International CES 2010 later this week (January 7 through 10, 2010). The rest of the release describes other accessories based on its i.Sound line including character earbuds, earphones and speakers for iPod, iPhone and other MP3 players.
