Devil Survivor 2 predicting people’s deaths on February 28, 2012
Atlus has been known to bring rather unorthodox games to the DS, and some of the best were entries in the Shin Megami Tensei series. Particularly awesome was Devil Survivor, a game that had visual novel elements for day to day events and battles that blended strategic RPG movements and turn-based attacks. It did so more »
Review: Persona 2: Innocent Sin for PSP
The final piece of the puzzle is now in North America, thanks to Atlus. For the first time, Persona 2: Innocent Sin is being released in English. Which means people with the right platforms can experience the entire Persona experience, from Shin Megami Tensei: Persona to Persona 4, in all its glory and see just how the series has grown from its roots. This fact alone will make it easier for JRPG fans to overlook some of the less desirable aspects of this classic game…
You can’t get Persona 2 Innocent Sin from Amazon right now
I hope you grabbed Persona 2: Innocent Sin from Amazon on September 20, 2011, when the game first debuted. See, you can’t get it now. Well, at least for a short while you can’t. If you head to Amazon’s product page, there’s a big “Item Under Review” notice on the page.
Now, this shouldn’t be any cause for alarm. Items that get this label tacked onto it usually return for sale on the site…
Review: Devil Survivor Overclocked for 3DS
You’ll be forgiven for looking at Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked and getting a sense of deja vu. It’s an updated port of a DS game from June 2009. While the basic story is the same, Overclocked gets it’s extra tag from adding in additional scenarios that take place after the seventh day of the lockdown in the original game, while also offering some new demons to recruit and full voice acting for the cast….
E3 2011: Atlus picks up Devil Survivor 2 DS
The DS is going to go out with a bang in 2012. Atlus is making it’s surprise E3 2011 game announcements and among them is Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2, the sequel to the incredibly awesome strategic RPG Devil Survivor. (That’s Devil Survivor Overclock, if you’re a 3DS owner.) Once again, people will have to enter into contracts with monsterous demons in order to save the world.
In Devil Survivor 2, it isn’t just Tokyo that’s locked down and in danger…
Atlus officially announces Persona 2: Innocent Sin
Atlus has just confirmed that North America will be receiving Persona 2: Innocent Sin for the first time ever. Well, that was quick! The Atlus Faithful email teasing that announcement went out less than a week ago. It looks like we’ll have persona summoning and demon fighting fun in Fall 2011…
Atlus Faithful newsletter suggests Persona 2: Innocent Sin localization
Atlus is teasing its fans again with a hint at its next localization. See, there’s this Atlus Faithful email newsletter people can sign up for, and the company often uses it to make game announcements. That, or it’s used to hint at game announcements. Yesterday, an email went out with a retro announcement from June 23, 1999.
Why June 23, 1999? That’s a very good question…
Europe’s Persona 3 Portable Collector’s Edition makes everyone jealous
If you live in Europe, then you’re going to get a very special version of Persona 3 Portable sometime in April 2011. Ghostlight picked up the Atlus game, which was released in 2009 in Japan and 2010 in North America. So you all had to wait, but you’re going to get access to a great collector’s edition release to make up for that.
That picture at the right shows everything you get with the P3P Collector’s Edition…
Devil Survivor becomes Devil Survivor Over Clock on the 3DS
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor may not even be two years old yet, but it’s already getting a reboot. The strategic DS RPG is going to appear on the 3DS as Devil Survivor Over Clock. Yes, the 3DS is backwards compatible and yes, the original Devil Survivor is pretty easy to find. I don’t see the point of the port either…
Japan Import: Persona 2: Innocent Sin is PSP bound
Persona has grown to become one of Atlus’ most popular series, and the company’s noticed. Gamers have been quite supportive since the release of Persona 3, and since then have been clamoring for more. More new entries and rereleases of existing games. Atlus obviously isn’t going to keep people waiting, and turned to Famitsu to announce a PSP enhanced port of Persona 2: Innocent Sin.
Expect Persona 2: Innocent Sin PSP to look a lot like Shin Megami Tensei: Persona PSP…
