PlayStation Plus subscribers get early access to Killzone 3 single-player demo

Killzone 3 is going to be taking over the PlayStation Network over the next couple weeks. First, the multiplayer open beta will begin on February 2. Secondly, PlayStation Home’s Central Plaza will be getting a Killzone inspired makeover tomorrow (January 27, 2011) which is expected to last about a month. Shortly after that on February 8, the single-player demo for Killzone 3 will arrive on the PlayStation Network.

Pay Back Games to host single-player gaming tournaments

Pay Back Games has a few reasons why its method of competition is more advantageous than other companies. First of all a person playing by themselves doesn’t have to wait until other members of their team is available to play. It also eliminates anyone from playing the blame game whenever their team loses the big match. Every game will be officiated by a live referee who will be in contact with players at all times.

Prototype’s multiplayer mode scrapped

Prototype, a much-hyped and much-anticipated game being developed by Radical Entertainment, will not feature any online multiplayer. The unfortunate news comes from Radical’s Tim Bennison who spoke with Team Xbox. Previously, the game was supposed to have online multiplayer functionality but it has been scrapped as the developers found it difficult to integrate it.
