Tony Hawk Ride will get a sequel in 2010
Despite the fact that skateboarding game Tony Hawk Ride didn’t do so hot last year (reviews were… less than stellar), Activision has confirmed that a new Ride is on the way. 1Up reports that CEO Mark Griffith explained away the previous game’s poor reception in today’s Q4 call.
Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground soundtrack announced
Activision has just announced the full track listing for skate title Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground, featuring a monster list of more than 50 songs (plus a playable demo of Guitar Hero 3 on the Xbox 360 version), making it one of the most musically inclined non-music games to come out this year. The game will offer a venerable melting pot of punk, hip-hop, rock, and alternative; mixing genres with the cheerful abandon of a recent Guitar Hero title.
Furthermore, MTV News has also reported that Beastie Boy Adam Yauch (MCA) will be a playable skater in the game, continuing the fine tradition of Tony Hawk games featuring non-pro skater celebs as playable characters.
Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground is set to launch on The Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, PS2, and Nintendo DS on October 9, 2007.
