The August 2007 numbers are in from independent analysts NPD group – and the results are in keeping with the last few months – it’s going to be a very interesting Fall for everyone.

2Overall, the Wii continues to dominate (as it has surpassed DS sales for the last few months and even became the worldwide console leader in Ju007ly), selling 403.6 thousand units. Hot on it’s heels is the DS (with 383.3 thousand) and the Xbox 360 (276.7 thousand).
