Sega’s going to be showing up at the Penny Arcade Expo 2008 (PAX) that’s happening the last weekend in August, and they decided to prepare attendees by revealing its game lineup for the event. DS, PS2 and PS3 owners will be happy with the company’s offerings, as Bleach Dark Souls, Dinosaur King, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, Valkyria Chronicles and Yakuza 2 will be on display.

So really, Sega’s going to use the event to show off some solid RPGs. Dinosaur King is a Pokemon-esque game for the DS, where you find fossils and create dinosaurs, and battle others who do the same. Sonic Chronicles is the DS Sonic the Hedgehog RPG from BioWare. Valkyria Chronicles is a PS3 strategic RPG with water-color style graphics that is receiving quite a bit of buzz. The other two titles being displayed, both sequels, are something special too, though…

The DS is definitely the belle of the ball for E3 2008. It seems like practically every developer and publisher attending is working on incredibly interesting titles for Nintendo’s handheld. While quite a few publishers/developers are keeping us in the dark as to what games we can expect to see (like Nintendo), others are already giving fans sneak peeks of what’s to come.

Gamertell decided to look at what DS games have been revealed so far, and pluck out the best of the best. These are the titles we can’t wait to play, and we’ll eagerly anticipate the release of. So far, it looks like the DS will be home to many interesting RPGs and ports.

If you’ve been waiting for the Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood rpg from Bioware, you may want to stop by Sonic-City.com and participate in a recent poll. The European Sonic Sega site now has a poll available where anxious fans can vote on the name of the alien menace Sonic and friends will face in Sonic Chronicles. There are nine different names offered – the Bluchaos, the Crushers, the Darknood, the Dusk, the Gravitus, the Guardian, the Icebo, the Psykore and the Zoah.

Videogamer reported yesterday (February 19, 2008) that Sega has confirmed its Bioware-made Sonic the Hedgehog RPG, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood for a release later in 2008. And if that wasn’t enough, Sega also released the game’s first in-game screenshots to that site, which are also viewable in our gallery.
