The Kyocera Echo is the DS of the smartphone world

The nifty little device you see here is not a mock-up of a Nintendo smartphone. It is a brand new device called the Kyocera Echo. It was announced today as the first ever dual-screen Android smartphone. The Kyocera Echo will be released on Sprint in spring 2011 for $199.99. Of course, that is more than likely the subsidized price after agreeing to a two-year contract.

Microsoft partners with Sprint, T-Mobile and Chevrolet for Kinect launch

Kinect is being marketed to everyday people. Hardcore gamers may feel slighted, but Microsoft wants to attract customers it hasn’t had before. Microsoft Advertising announced it is teaming up with three big companies that will advertise its products in Kinect games. By doing this, Microsoft gets to market to consumers through television, the internet and Xbox Live.

The Guild coming to Xbox Live, sponsored by Microsoft

Just in case you missed its excellent debut season in 2007, The Guild is an online sitcom focused on a group of MMORPG players and the problems that their guild faces both in the (unspecified) game and in the real world. The show won both YouTube’s and Yahoo’s Best Web Series awards for 2007.

After turning down sponsorship offers for more than a year due to incompatible ideas, show creator and star Felicia Day (known for her roles as Vi on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Penny on Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog) today (November 24, 2008) announced via her personal blog that the show has been picked up by Microsoft.
