Stan Lee to host first annual Rock’n Comic Con in Pasadena

Legendary Marvel Comics Creator Stan lee will be the guest of honor for the Los Angeles Rock’n Comic-Con at the Pasadena Convention Center on May 28, 29 and 30, 2010. Rock’n Comic-Con is hosted by FAME LA , Vanguard Productions and Animation Ink, in cooperation with Desert Wind Comics.

Lee will have an autograph signing, where you can take photos with the legend, or get your favorite collectibles signed by him. There will be door prizes, raffles and items specially signed by Marvel, comic book and animation Industry artists, Illustrators, musicians and others during the event.

X-Men: First Class graduating to the big screen

In an interview with MTV News, writer Josh Schwartz confirmed that the Marvel’s merry band of mutants will indeed be expanding with another film, this time centering around the mini-series X-Men: First Class.

The veteran TV writer for the CW’s Gossip Girl and NBC’s Chuck did state in the interview that, despite early rumors, he would not be directing X-Men: First Class

Stan Lee and Virgin Comics team for New Universe

Stan Lee, the creator of many of Marvel Comics’ greatest heroes from Spider-Man, The Uncanny X-Men and Iron Man is once again trying recapturing that old school magic that made him a living legend within the industry with his and Virgin Comics’ recent announcement of their new partnership.

Virgin Comics, which was founded by mogul Sir Richard Branson back in 2006, has struck a deal with Stan Lee to create an entirely new universe centered around 10 completely unique characters. Lee told the LA Times that “It will be a team of 10 heroes and they will be dealing with personality conflicts, personal problems and chemistry within the team. I’m going to get started working on it right away and I’m very excited about doing something that will be fresh and breaking new ground. I can’t give away the details or the names yet, but I have some exciting things in mind.”
