Gamertell’s top 10 2009 DS games
Tons of fantastic DS games were released in 2009, and now that we’re entering into 2010 it seems only fitting to honor 10 of the best released last year. Compling such a list is a difficult task, especially considering how many fantastic games were released in 2009, but the final choices mark the best of the best of 2009.
There are quite a few others games though, that do deserve to be acknowledged as runners-up. Games that were good, but not quite good enough to make the top 10. For exampe, there was The Legendary Starfy, Dragon Quest V, Pokemon Platinum, Phantasy Star Zero, Rhythm Heaven and Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure. Many great games were released, but only 10 can be considered the best.
And now, on to Gamertell’s 10 best DS games released in 2009…
Gamertell Review: Style Savvy for DS
The DS is flooded with games for girls and women. Unfortunately, most of them are what gamers call shovelware, low quality games that are a chore to play. Style Savvy is the exact opposite. Style Savvy shows what happens when a high quality company like Nintendo sets out to craft a game a game with women in mind. It’s intelligent, colorful, filled with all kinds of great elements and has tons of replay value. It’s wonderful and easy to play, without any pandering.

E3 2009: Nintendo introduces Wagamama Fashion: Girl’s Mode as Style Savvy
I must have Style Savvy. It’s a day one purchase for me, no doubt about it. At Nintendo’s E3 2009 press conference today, the company announced that it is bringing the wildly popular Wagamama Fashion: Girl’s Mode (Self Indulgent Fashion: Girl’s Mode) DS game to North America as Style Savvy. At the conference, it was described as the sort of game preteens, teenagers and grown women will find themselves enjoying. I have to say, I’m inclined to agree.
In Style Savvy players run their own fashion boutique. You customize every aspect of the shop. The window displays. The music playing. The layout. The stock. Everything is under your control…
