Lollipop Chainsaw sends a cheerleader after zombies in 2012

We first heard about Lollipop Chainsaw back around July 20, 2011, when Suda51 was talking up the latest PS3 and Xbox 360 game from Grasshopper Manufacture and Kadokawa Games. I’m sure everyone figured it’d be one of those quirky games that would never make it outside of Japan. Well, never underestimate the power of cheerleader zombie hunters, because Warner Bros. Interactive has chipped in to bring it to North America in 2012.

Juliet Starling is a cheerleader at San Romero High School. But she’s more than that, really. She’s also quite adept at taking down zombies, especially when she has her trusty chainsaw by her side…

Japan Import: Grasshopper Manufacture making Rebuild of Evangelion: Sound Impact

Neon Genesis Evangelion has inspired a tremendous number of video games, from action and fighting games, to simulations and pachinko games. There have even been educational trivia and typing games. Rebuild of Evangelion: Sound Impact takes a brand new approach, by taking the series into the world of music games. Even more surprising is the fact that Grasshopper Manufacture, Suda51′s development company, is making it.

Gamertell Review: Flower, Sun and Rain for DS

The DS seems tailor made for adventure games, given the touch screen control options, and yet very few have been made available for the system. Sure, there are titles like Trace Memory, Time Hollow and Lux-Pain, but releases like that are infrequent.

Thankfully, XSEED has stepped up to the plate to bring the Suda51 port Flower, Sun and Rain to the DS. While it isn’t a standard point-and-click adventure, it’s close enough, and adventure game fans will surely find something to love about this puzzle-filled adventure filled with all kinds of unexpected surprises.

Sumio Mondo, a professional searcher, who works with a briefcase-computer device called Catherine to unlock mysteries and find objects. He has been summoned to Lospass Island, a resort area, by the Flower, Sun and Rain Hotel’s manager, Edo Macauster. Edo has hired Sumio to find a time bomb which has been planted on a plane. Sumio sets out on his task, but finds that everyone on the island has some sort of problem that only he can help resolve…
