Super Stardust HD comes roaring back with Impact mode
Super Stardust HD is still alive and kicking folks. This was one of the first great downloadable PS3 games to grace our paths, was one of the first games to have trophies and happened to be first PS3 game I’ve ever played in 3D. Super Stardust HD has come a long way since 2007 and SCEA isn’t done supporting it. Super Stardust HD will be getting a new mode this spring called Impact.

Super Stardust HD, PAIN and WipeOut HD will all be upgraded to display 3D graphics on 3D HDTV’s. While WipeOut and SSD won’t cost anything extra to update, PAIN will cost an additional $3 or so. PAIN will also have a couple extra game modes to make up for the price.

The 3D effects made everything in the game appear more round and elevated than normal. The high definition graphics were very pleasant to look at and was certainly something I haven’t experienced before. The most impressive thing about the 3D graphics happened when I would blow up a large asteroid.
