Michael Phelps: Push the Limit announced for Kinect
Ever since Kinect has been available, the entire world has been begging for swimming game. Okay, so maybe that’s not true, but it doesn’t matter because we’re still getting one in June. Michael Phelps: Push the Limit was announced today (February 2, 2011) for Kinect.
Michael Phelps to follow in the footsteps of Tiger Woods and Shaun White
Its typical to see sports video games with a famous athlete’s name in the title. Perhaps it is designed to make the title seem more credible or authentic, since the virtual representation of a famous person is in the game or lends his or her name to the title. And really, it isn’t all that unexpected to see a pro golfer, football player or snowboarding star appear above a game.
On the other hand, it is a bit unexpected to see a swimmer appear there. But one will, in 2010 – Michael Phelps. 505 Games, which was previously known for releasing games in Europe but has recently created a base of operations in L.A, is going to be making Michael Phelps games for both next gen consoles and the iPhone. I bet you can’t wait to play a swimming game on your iPhone…
