E3 2010: Hands-on with Tron Evolution for Wii (light cycle level) (updated)

The upcoming Tron Legacy movie is, naturally getting a game treatment. And, of course, it has light cycles. Super cool, highly explosive light cycles. With fancy neon and everything.

But, even better, not they can jump.

In the Wii version of this Disney game, titled Tron Evolution, you hold the WiiMote sideways, a la an old school NES controller, and can move it like a steering wheel to control the cycle. Game company 2009 Christmas cards collection (updated December 24)

New Tron Legacy game trailer (with video)

One of the classics of science fiction is making its return to the movie screens with the upcoming Tron Legacy. Now, as it is the custom with most movies these days, a video game is also in the works and a quick teaser has been released.

The trailer shows several quick scenes depicting classic elements from the original movie. First you can get a glimpse of someone catching what looks like a disk, one of the staple weapons in the movie. There’s also a scene with a Recognizer, a towering two-legged machine resembling something out of Space Invaders. You can also get a look at the new version of the always awesome Light Cycles and, finally, there’s something about a virus.

Three shades of Tron

For those of you who dig retro games – and those who have retro gaming gear like the X-Gaming Tankstick – you might want to download these three Tron homebrews. Each of the games has a slightly different take on the infamous light cycle segment of the movie. FLTron2.0 Onlineis Flash based game you can more »
