We’re getting into the home stretch. Christmas is only a little over a week away. While most people are already prepared, stores are hoping there are some people who have still put off their shopping until that last minute. That’s when they’re hoping to swoop in with sale ads with better than usual deals. Target’s done just that, and has released it’s December 18-24, 2011 sale ad early online…

Target’s been making sure its ads show up early online for people over the past few months, to get an edge over its competitors. So it’s not unexpected to see the ad for December 11-17, 2011 online already. This way, you have today and tomorrow to prepare and think about possibly making big purchases before sales take effect on Sunday.

Let’s start off with the big ticket items. They will all pretty much involve paying the normal price, but getting some kind of Target gift card with the item to make the deal seem better…

Target’s latest sale ad for November 27 – December 3, 2011 has a big mistake in it. It’s found nestled in the game section, where an announcement says select online gaming cards are 20% off. See that image above? What’s wrong with it. Hint, it has to do with the PlayStation Plus card.

Normally, a one year PlayStation Plus card is $49.99. 20% off of that should be $39.99, which is the price shown on Target’s website. However, the ad shows the one year card with a price of $14.39 below it…

It’s Cyber Monday, which means retailers are hoping people who didn’t feel like going outside and actually shopping at unspeakable hours the day after Thanksgiving will be heading online to shop right now. Target’s among the sites with a special section devoted just to Cyber Monday 2011 shoppers, which has a handful of deals worth looking at. To be honest, the best deals are on the custom online bundles or bigger items. When it comes to games and accessories, the Black Friday 2011 sales were better.

Still, let’s go through Target’s sale offerings for today. We’ll start with the bigger items, since they’re the ones with the biggest savings…

We all know Black Friday is fast approaching, but that isn’t stopping some stores from trying to get people in before November 24, 2011 to shop. And, in cases like Target, there are a few sale items in the November 20-23, 2011 ad that would actually make it worth coming and shopping early.

The best examples of this are some console deals that are available. The two biggest are on Nintendo products. The 3DS is actually on sale. You can get a 3DS alone, with no games, for $145. It’s not a bad deal, though the Black Friday $179.99 bundle that will include Super Mario 3D Land or Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is a better deal. There’s also a deal on the Wii. If you get the $149.99 Wii New Super Mario Bros. bundle, you can get a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. So you get a $49.99 game for free. Finally, the PSP-3000 will be $99.99 over those few days, which is the Black Friday price for the system at a lot of other stores….
