Oh what a sad day it was when David Jaffe announced on the PlayStation Blog that Twisted Metal wouldn’t be releasing in 2011 as we all originally intended. Instead, the game was pushed back to early 2012. How early you ask? Try February 14, 2012.

The VGAs are coming up soon. There will be a lot of videogame announcements and brand new footage from previously announced games. It’s almost a guarantee Batman: Arkham City will be making an appearance at some point. This very game was announced at last year’s VGAs after all. Today we’re getting a prelude to the VGA festivities with a new Arkham City teaser trailer from MSN. In it, Batman is facing a more sophisticated enemy.

The Sly Collection was just released last week. It contains all three games in the Sly Cooper franchise, only this time they have gotten HD makeovers. Playing through these games again will present you with something a little more than nostalgia. There appears to be a teaser for the yet to be announced Sly 4 embedded on the disc.

Popcap has been sending the image above to select users. The photo shows the classic zombie hand holding a note dated August 2, 2010. Look forward to some news from Popcap on that Monday. Another clue from the image are the letters S and F beneath a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. The clues are too broad to give any educated guesses on what is coming next month.

Gears of War 3 designer Cliff Bleszinski (AKA CliffyB) hinted on his Twitter page about something cool today.

“We’re revealing the newest (sic) edition to the Gears of War 3 cast tomorrow – A super talented artist who is exploding on the scene. Guesses?” Bleszinski tweeted last night (June 10, 2010).

This year’s eCost Black Friday bargains are still only a tease, not revealing whether they are members-only deals and not even listing them all. The online-only sale begins at 12:01 a.m. CST on Friday, November 27, 2009.

On the eCost Black Friday Preview page you can see one game bargain, an Xbox 360 Pro system with 20 GB hard drive and a headset for $119.

The next best teaser deal is an 8 GB Third Generation iPhone 3G for $359.
