Gamescom 2011: Tekken 3D Prime Edition includes a game and a movie
So, Gamescom is not just a way for lots of European people to get sneak peeks at awesome video games. It’s also a good place for companies to make some pretty major announcements about their games. Case in point is the Tekken 3D 3DS game Namco Bandai was hinting about at E3 2011. The company used Gamescom 2011 to let everyone know it’s for real and will be called Tekken 3D Prime Edition. Yes, it’s copycatting Capcom and Super Street Fight IV 3D Edition by sticking the terms “3D” and “edition” into Tekken‘s title…

E3 2011: Street Fighter X Tekken footage
Here’s a video of some Street Fighter X Tekken action for all of you fighting junkies out there. Please note that this game really has nothing to do with Tekken with the exception of the series’ characters and story lines. I overhead a few E3 attendees discussing SFXT before the event wondering how anyone could even pull off merging two such completely different fighting systems. The gameplay in SFXT is based entirely in the Street Fighter world with a seamless transition of the Tekken characters’ moves and combos.
E3 2011: Hand-on impressions of Street Fighter X Tekken
In Japan, “X” – pronounced “cross” – is sometimes used when two titans of entertainment work together on a song, an album or a movie. When Capcom and Namco announced that the two biggest franchises in fighting were finally coming together to do battle and put another “who would win” debate to bed. Capcom won the coin toss and will be releasing their game firs and they had it out for play at E3 2011
E3 2011: A few more Tekken for Wii U, 3DS details
Namco Bandai is out to prove that we may never see the end of the Tekken era with two new Nintendo platform release titles.
Both the 3DS and Nintendo’s new system the Wii U will receive Tekken titles, which are going under the super simple working title Tekken for now.
The release of Tekken on the Wii U will show the first ever home system release on a Nintendo system. Tekken had previously been released primarily on Sony systems. Namco Bandai is hoping that the new technology and gameplay experience of the Wii U will create a new fighting sensation for fans of the series.

Namco Bandai has also confirmed the shipping of 2.5 million copies of the sequel available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Sony Home Update: A frightening new world has opened, more goodies at the mall
A frightening world has just opened on Sony’s PlayStation HOME and I do warn you. It’s not for the faint at heart. On Thursday, May 7, 2009, the world of Siren: Blood Curse opened featuring the swamp scene from the game as a lounge and an entrance to the hospital complete with a crazy nurse behind the counter challenging you to escape the hospital within 5 minutes. Bodies of victims and zombie nurse (called Shinto) standees stand in front of the hospital for photo ops for those players with the camera feature on their virtual PSP. To play just see the nurse as you enter the Ward of Despair and be prepared to move like the wind.
Once inside the replica of the hospital’s first floor five players must work together to gather the missing items, distract the shinto (zombie nurses) and escape the basement as fast as they can armed with only a flashlight…
