Gamertell Interview: High Voltage Software’s David Pellas and David Antognoli talk Conduit 2

Back on April 15, 2011, Gamertell was fortunate enough to attend a Conduit 2 launch event at High Voltage Software’s headquarters. We were able to watch developers play Conduit 2 and test out the multiplayer with other attendees. Since then, I was fortunate enough to ask High Voltage Software’s David Pellas and David Antognoli some more »

Conduit 2 heading to North America and Europe

The May 2010 issue of Nintendo Power has revealed a game that a lot of people probably didn’t expect. It turns out Sega and High Voltage Games are working on Conduit 2, a sequel to the June, 2009 game The Conduit. And development must be pretty far along, since it has a tenative Fall 2010 release window for both North America and Europe.

It’s still going to be a first person shooter, though this time there’ll be a bit more freedom on the part of the player…

The Conduit is latest high-profile Sega game to hit low sales ceiling

It’s one of the biggest paradoxes in gaming right now. Hardcore gamers with Nintendo Wiis have clamored that there are no titles released for them. But three Sega titles catering to that niche have met with cool sales so far in 2009. Sega’s first-person shooter The Conduit is the latest high-profile game to miss its target. The game moved only 72,000 titles in June, according to the latest NPD report numbers.

Sega placed a big focus on providing hardcore fare for the Wii, as the trio of MadWorld, House of the Dead: Overkill and The Conduit seemed to be the titles the system needed. But MadWorld and the House of the Dead sequel were met with the kind of lukewarm reception generally reserved for Sonic titles these days.

The Conduit wasn’t the only underachiever in June 2009…

Gamertell Review: The Conduit for Wii

Remember Collective Soul? They had those massive hits in the early-to-mid-90s and they still put out pretty good albums even if radio largely ignores them. I don’t play my Collective Soul CDs often but, when I do, I think, “You know, this is a very good band. As solid as you want a rock band to be. I should listen to them more often.” Then, I promptly forget about them again.

That’s exactly how I feel about Sega’s The Conduit for Wii.

E3 2009: Hands on with The Conduit multiplayer

One of the coolest games at E3 this year was The Conduit – a Wii FPS that could easily pass as a first-gen Xbox 360 title. I was able to get my little paws on the multiplayer mode (which was showing in a very cool sci-fi looking booth tucked right next to Bethesda’s giant tent-thing). The bottom line: this game is looking hot: it’s fast, fun, and an ultra-smooth multiplayer experience.

Sega revealed as publisher for The Conduit

The Conduit, High Voltage Software’s (HVS) science fiction first-person shooter for the Wii, has been garnering a great deal attention from the “hardcore” gaming community since its unveiling earlier this year (April 2008), but it has taken until now (October 29, 2008) for its publisher to be confirmed.

After receiving offers from a large number of publishers, HVS finally settled on Sega to handle publishing duties for its premier Wii release. HVS CEO and founder Kerry Ganofsky suggests in the announcement press release that Sega shares his company’s vision for The Conduit.

The game…

Mark A. Sheppard, William Sheppard and Kevin Sorbo coming to a Wii near you in – The Conduit

The Conduit, the forthcoming Wii game from High Voltage Software, is going to have some substantial star power put into it. High Voltage Software has just annoucned that Mark A. Sheppard, William Sheppard and Kevin Sorbo have signed on as voice actors for the first-person shooter (FPS). So a father-son team (William and Mark A. Sheppard) will face off against Hercules (Sorbo)…
