Tale of Tales to let gamers walk The Path in March
What could be one of the coolest independent games of 2009 now has a release date – Tales of Tales has confirmed that The Path will be released on the Tales of Tales site, Direct2Drive and Steam on March 18, 2009. So far the price hasn’t been set, but I’m sure it will be revealed when the launch date draws closer.
The Path‘s a horror game based on the tale of Little Red Riding Hood. Six girls, Robin, Rose, Ginger, Ruby, Carmen and Scarlet all must take the journey to grandmother’s house. This isn’t a simple task though – you have to choose which path the girls take, and how they will get to their final destinations. And when I say final destination, I mean final – none of the girls comes back alive. It seems like an interesting, psychological thriller.
Tales of Tales is known for their ethereal and sometimes exotic games. As you may recall, the company is known for The Endless Forest…
Discover The Endless Forest through the community website
A new community website for the free, MMO (massive multiplayer online game) The Endless Forest is now open, as a new outlet for users to interact with one another. Previously, The Endless Forest users has to use the Tale of Tales forum for interacting, however it was unable to adequately provide for them.
So on May 2, 2008, the official community website was opened. The new site allows for a number of things that were previously unavailable. Users can interact with other users, maintain a diary and share images.
The Endless Forest is a different kind of MMO. The game was originally created for the Luxemburg Musée d’Art Moderne, and is more of a living piece of artwork than a game, at time. All players are deer in the forest, and the point of the game is to explore the world. The most interesting aspect is that it can function as a screen saver when the game isn’t being played.
