the world ends with you
TGS 2011: There’s a little The World Ends with You in Kingdom Hearts 3D
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance is a big deal at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show for a number of reasons. First, a trailer of it is being shown at the super secret and awesome theater Square Enix always has at its TGS booth. Second, we now know it can use that weird second analog stick add-on for the 3DS. Third, and most importantly, it’s playable at the booth. And it’s the booth demo and trailer that has shown us that characters and a situation similar to the one from The World Ends with You is making its first appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3D.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D, Sora and Riku are training to become keyblade masters so they can properly face off against Xehanort in the final battle…
Square Enix DS and PSP games are Amazon’s video game deals of the day
Great news! If there’s an RPG loving DS or PSP owner on your wishlist this year, you can get them a really great gift at a fantastic price! Or, you could pick something up for yourself. Either way, you’ll want to take advantage of Amazon’s video game Deal of the Day today, December 16, 2009. All day, Amazon is going to be selling Crisis Core: Final Fantasy (PSP), Final Fantasy IV (DS) and The World Ends with You (DS) for $9.78 each. You can’t get those games used for that price.
Final Fantasy IV is a DS port of the classic game, with additional content, a new translation and voice acting. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is a direct prequel to Final Fantasy VII, centering on the adventures of Zack Fair, an elite member of SOLDIER. The World Ends with You is the only non-Final Fantasy game of the three, and revolves around the adventure of a young man named Neku and his companions who are trapped in Shibuya for seven days and must find a way to keep passing missions to survive…
Important Importables Review: Subarashiki Kono Sekai: It’s a Wonderful World Original Soundtrack
Subarashiki Kono Sekai: It’s a Wonderful World Original Soundtrack acts as more than your typical game soundtrack. While there are the pieces that do sound tailored for specific situations in the game, as a whole it seems like it was designed more to bring an entire environment and area to life. The tracks often sound different, yet also sound the same. They share a common theme and attitude. By listening to it in the game or on their own, it provides a sense of ambiance and makes the in-game version of Shibuya come to life.
The best place to start is with “Twister”. The game’s main theme, “Twister”, in all it’s shapes and forms, helps set the stage for all the rest of the tracks. It’s a flurry of organized confusion…
DS games that will cost a kidney in 10 years
The story about the $102.51 copy of Suikoden 2 is a common one among gamers. And of course everyone’s heard of the $1,217 mint condition Chrono Trigger. Video games aren’t just a means of entertainment, they can also become valuable collector’s items.
There will always be rare titles and dealers are going to exploit them. Childhood favorites will be hoarded and sealed away until you see them on eBay 10 years later and something inside you compels you to own it again – even if you sold it back at GameStop for credit towards something like Grand Theft Auto 4.
The influx of DS titles ensures that some will be rarer than others, and some games are already fetching high prices online. After examining both eBay and Amazon, I have put together a short list of 10 DS games which prices will likely skyrocket as years go by.

Dress for success in The World Ends with You
After playing The World Ends with You for a while, and stopping in the stores, you’ll notice a pattern. Certain brands will seem to favor certain characters. When you check unlocked abilities, you’ll notice that some brands will have abilities only for one character, or for one character and Neku, and ignore every one else.
Then there are the indifferent brands. When you check abilities, while dressing the character’s, you’ll see a lot of “When your partner wears this…” but never any specific character references.
Square Enix clearly had certain characters in mind when it came to clothing. So if you want to succeed in TWEWY, it’s best to follow SE’s lead. Dress your characters in the brands that suit them, and you can’t go wrong. Hopefully this guide will help get your TWEWY characters though any fashion emergency.
The World Ends with You comic is complete
“Like a bolt from the blue, time for the Reaper Review!”
No, not really. But that whole speech is so catchy. I’m sure I misquoted, but moving on – the The World Ends with You section on the Square Enix Members page has had another major update. The latest, and final, chapter in the The World Ends with You manga by Shiro Amano is now translated and online.
Once again, the manga will have special, colored spots which can be clicked to unlock exclusive The World Ends with You ringtones. The three tracks this time around are “Twister,” “Someday” and “Imprinting.” Like before, you have to be a Squenix member to have access to the comic and tones. Its free to join up though, so go do it.
Gamertell Review: The World Ends with You
Title: The World Ends with YouPrice: $39.99System(s): Nintendo DSRelease Date: April, 22, 2008Publisher (Developer): Square Enix (Square Enix and Jupiter)ESRB Rating: “Teen” for fantasy violence, mild language and mild suggestive themesPros: EverythingCons: Getting used to controlling two characters at once in battles can be tricky, and occasionally Tin Pin Slammer is frustrating.Overall Score: Two thumbs up, 100/100, A+, *****
The World Ends with You (TWEWY) is one of the most innovative and engaging games ever released. If you are only going to get one game for the DS in 2008, this is it. It provides a new way in which rpgs can be executed and proves that Square Enix, a company often criticized for its remakes and ports, is capable of releasing phenomenal new intellectual properties.

The World Ends with You Samba Pig cross stitch
The World Ends with You hasn’t even been released yet, but I’m already a huge fan. I adored the Japanese version, Subarashiki Kono Sekai: It’s a Wonderful World, and was ecstatic when Square Enix announced it was being prepped for a US and European release. To celebrate the release, I wanted to do a cross stitch of one of the game’s sprites, because the art style really sucked me in. I decided that, since DS sprites can be a bit complex, to go with a very simple and classic Samba Pig.
Become a Square Enix Member – get The World Ends with You ringtones
The Square Enix Members site has a pretty big update filled with The World Ends with You goodness. Parts 2 and 3 of the Creator’s Roundtable are both up, there’s an In-Store video of the title and the first chapter of the The World Ends with You manga by Shiro Amano. The best part of the update is the comic, because by clicking on certain colored comic panels, you can unlock ringtones of songs from the game.
Dust off your Members Only jacket for this Square Enix site
The official Square Enix Member site is now open. So far the site is a bit sparse, but the content there is still something special. So far there are only sections online for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, The World Ends with You and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates. There are wallpapers, contests, videos, a few little blog decorations, articles, a contest and a blog.
