The PlayStation Store updates early with Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception content

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception was revealed a couple days ago. It was at that time we learned Drake will be traveling to the Middle East in search of a lost city. Drake’s Deception will also focus more on Drake and Sully’s relationship. A full length trailer (posted after the break) was shown yesterday at the Spike Video Game Awards. If that wasn’t enough, the PlayStation Store was updated today with new Uncharted 3 content and discounts on Uncharted 2 DLC.

[Update] Insomniac thanks community with free Resistance 3 PS3 theme

With the VGAs closing in fast, game developers are trying to spread hype about their upcoming games. Insomniac Games is using Facebook as a medium to promote its upcoming game Resistance 3. Brand new gameplay footage from Resistance 3 will be shown to the public for the first time during the Video Game Awards this Saturday. While we wait, Insomniac has an exclusive Resistance 3 PS3 theme available to download right now.

PlayStation Store Update: Enemy approaching! Go! Go! Go! (October 24 to November 2, 2010)

This week’s downloadable PlayStation 3 game is Blacklight: Tango Down, a fast-paced, action-oriented, first-person shooter that takes place 25 years into the future. This week’s PlayStation Portable Download is Z.H.P.: Unlosing Ranger VS Darkdeath Evilman which involves a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident and a belt that morphs you into “Absolute Victory Unlosing Ranger.”

PlayStation Plus Update: Explore Tomb Raider: Underworld (October 12 to 23, 2010)

This week’s PlayStation Plus feature is Tomb Raider: Underworld game trial free to members only. For a limited time players can follow Lara Croft as she searches for the final resting place of King Arthur but runs into an old enemy, Jacqueline Natla who tells her that Avalon and the Norse Helheim are one in the same. Players must help Lara solve puzzles and find the artifacts of Thor in Tomb Raider: Underworld

PlayStation Store Update: Japanese imports make debut this week (September 22 to 28, 2010)

Starting this week players will notice a new category for Japanese PSOne Classics. Don’t worry, most of the games will have the option to read them in English. Those that can’t be translated, well, let’s just say its a good thing they can’t be translated but will have links to help sites to get through the game. Just remember in Japan “X” means cancel and “O” means confirm. But be warned a lot of Japanese games push the boundaries that would drive the US censorship boards nuts.

A good example of this type of game is Cho Aniki (translation: Super Big Brother) which is actually a shooter that features bulging bodybuilders flying through space. So please check out the developer’s English site for information about the game before downloading.

PlayStation Store Update: Bundles of joyful gaming and digital comics (January 17 to 23, 2009)

This week’s downloadable game is Magic Orbz available this week as a huge bundle pack for $13.99 for the PlayStation 3. This week’s featured PSP downloadable game is actually a free demo called Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, a must-have for fans of the original Lunar Silver Star series originally made for the Sega CD console in 1993 and later a Gameboy version in 2002.

PlayStation Store Update: More Holiday Bargians For Gamers (December 27 to January 2, 2009)

This week’s feature PS3 download game is Polar Panic for $9.99. In this game players control a polar bear who must push blocks to stop a greedy oil tycoon and his men from destroying his habitat and rescue all the captured polar bears to include his own family.

The next featured download game is Me & My Katamari for $19.99 for the PlayStation Portable. The King and the Prince are back and this time they’re on a mission to save a bunch of homeless animals by rolling up objects to create islands for these poor creatures.

PlayStation Store Update: Smash Cars races its way into the store (August 23 to 29, 2009)

This week’s PlayStation Store update features a game of destruction called Smash Cars for $14.99 for the PlayStation 3. The game offer real-time physics, stunts and next-gen graphics to make this experience fun with a choice of single or multi-player car racing with twists, turns and don’t forget serious stunts while earning trophies.

This week’s PlayStation Portable download features Warriors Orochi for $14.99 for the PSP. In this game the Serpent King Orochi shattered time and space to kidnap the greatest warriors from Dynasty Warriors and Sumari Warriors and brought them together for the biggest showdown in history. Players can choose to play alone or in wireless co-op mode to unleash their powerful moves on nearby enemies.
