Rumor: This Is Vegas has been cancelled

We first reported on This Is Vegas over two years ago. Things were different back then. Midway was still in business, the iPad was a pipe dream and Facebook games weren’t nearly as popular as they are today. However one thing hasn’t changed – This Is Vegas was never released. The game has been barely mentioned at all over the last two years and probably won’t be getting much press in the future.

Midway bets its hand at E3 with This Is Vegas

When we think of Vegas images of flashing lights and casinos instantly come to mind. Vegas is known for high stakes action, fast cars, and early mornings you can never remember. In This is Vegas, due to be released in 2009 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, the reputation of sin city is under attack by a man who wants to transform Vegas into a tourist trap for families. It’s your job to create an empire in true Vegas fashion and keep things flowing like it used to be.

In order to be the head honcho in This is Vegas you have to be well connected so getting the various people in the game to like you is prime. Of course it’s going to take…

Midway presents its E3 2008 lineup

Midway Games, like most other considerate E3 attendees, has announced a list of games which it will be displaying at the event. It looks like, this year, Midway is going a somewhat safe route when it comes to games, as it will be showing off new installments in its popular Mortal Kombat, Unreal Tournament and Touchmaster series at the event.

The selection this year seems to reflect Midway’s desire to reach two, very different audiences. Games like Unreal Tournament 3 (Xbox 360), Wheelman (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (PS3, Xbox 360) are being released for Midway’s faithful fans, while titles like Touchmaster 2 (DS) and Game Party 2 (Wii) are for casual players.
