Playstation Home Update: ModNation Racers and Little Big Planet pod penthouse and playground

The LittleBigPlanet Pod Penthouse for $4.99 features a giant PS3 controller that allows you to change what’s outside the window by rotating the background, two floors, a wallpaper game that lets you create wallpapers for your PS3 system and two open spaces downstairs to personalize. The new LittleBigPlanet Playground is a huge three level filled with familiar characters including King, Sackboy, Uncle Jalapeno, Ghosts, Meerkats and more. The ModNation Racer Clubhouse features a mini-theater where players can watch exclusive interviews or videos about their favorite game, hangout in the cafeteria style lounge area, play the sticker wall game or go upstairs to play Skee Racer. And, of course, updates and new items for your avatars…

PlayStation Home Update: Rock your personal space with Musicality or escape to paradise

For those who ever wondered what it would be like to own your own tropical island, the new Tropical Apartment Personal Space for $4.99 offers a tranquil island paradise in the South Pacific complete with white sandy beaches, lush tropical jungle in the background and a nice tropical hut with a hot tub to relax in out back. For those who like it loud, the new Musicality Space offers an entire concert hall at your disposal for $5.99. And, as usual, a big ol’ list of issues, updates and items for your avatar.

This week on PlayStation Home there are several new events taking place that will continue to entertain the PS Home community and one very promising upgrade to one of PS Home’s hangouts.

Sony Home Update: inFamous space, EA Golf course now open

This week on Sony Home there are several new places to visit starting with the inFAMOUS space now open. Players can explore the Abandoned Docks of Empire City where they can spray paint graffiti on the walls or play Reaper Shock. In this shooting gallery style game, players can shoot bolts of electricity at Reaper targets that pop-up or move across the screen for reward items for avatars and living personal spaces.

Also look for EA’s Sports Complex, a few patches and fixes, more stuff at the mall, dance-off Items and other freebies, patriotic outfits and items for 4th of July and the return of Xi!

PlayStation Store Update: E3 2009 wrap up, more downloadable music (June 8 to June 13, 2009)

This week’s PlayStation Store is featuring the game Trash Panic by Sony Computer Entertainment America. It’s an eco-friendly puzzle available for download for $4.99 that pits up to two players against the clock challenging them to dispose of garbage as quickly as possible as random garbage is delivered via crane that is controlled using the DualShock 3 controller. The more garbage you can remove the higher your score.

For those who missed E3 2009, there is a category titled “E3 2009″ in the PlayStation store containing videos of interviews, game content and trailers for download. Also in the store this week, featured video collections inspired by video games and don’t forget episode 1 of Dexter is free for today (June 8, 2009) only.

Sony Home Update: EA opens Godfather II casino, Xi’s newest puzzles, more prizes

Sony’s PlayStation 3 Home is expanding new worlds to explore and have added extra features to an existing worlds.

A Godfather II Casino space has opened and Sony Home is working with EA on the upcoming Sports Complex. There are more game-related costumes and action figure dolls have arrived. Also, to help make things interesting, the puzzles in Xi:The Hub are getting even more challenging.
