Following layoffs at EA Canada, the studio originally charged with developing the game, Tiburon will take over the troubled franchise. Tiburon is the studio that currently develops Madden NFL.

Much as Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords successfully merged the puzzle game and the RPG, Henry Hatsworth combines the puzzle action of games such as Tetris Attack, Bejeweled, or any derivation thereof with the platform gaming of Mario Brothers, Mega Man and such. The marriage of the two genres is seamless, although difficult to manage at first.
