Markus Persson wants to help make Psychonauts 2 happen
Psychonauts is an undisputed classic. It’s left fans begging for a sequel. However, to do it up right would require a hefty investment. That’s something that Tim Schafer doesn’t have at the moment. So we’ve had to content ourselves with Double Fine’s other finely crafted games. But, there could be hope as Markus “Notch” Persson more »

Kotick vs. Schafer: Round 3
The war of words between Activision CEO Robert Kotick and Double Fine Productions founder Tim Schafer continues. This whole fiasco started in July when Schafer call Kotick a “total prick.” A couple months later Schafer responded in an Edge Magazine interview slamming Brütal Legend. Now it’s Schafer’s turn to counterattack.
Activision’s Bobby Kotick has harsh words for Tim Schafer
Back in July, Tim Schafer (Brütal Legend, Psychonauts) said some unflattering things to say about Activision’s CEO Robert “Bobby” Kotick. Over two months later, Kotick has responded to Schafer’s remarks in the latest issue of Edge Magazine.
Antiques Roadshow is possibly a new Tim Schafer project
This is probably the strangest videogame related story you’ve read this week. Namco registered a domain in September 2009 for a videogame based Antiques Roadshow. The domain is set to expire in September 2011. It wasn’t until now that the domain was spotted and speculation on Tim Schafer’s involvement began to surface.
Double Fine has four new games in production
Fresh off his apologetic remarks to Activision’s CEO, Tim Schafer revealed his studio is currently working on four new games. Before now, Double Fine has only worked on one game at a time. It’s most recent release, Brutal Legend, didn’t get the reviews or sales numbers the studio wanted. As a result, an unnamed publisher told Double Fine it did not want a sequel to Brutal Legend. This caused the team to come up with ideas in a short period of time.
Tim Schafer bites his tongue on Kotick comments
Double Fine Productions CEO Tim Schafer went on a bit of a rant during a Eurogamer interview that was published yesterday. In it Schafer describes Activision’s CEO Robert “Bobby” Kotick in some unflattering ways. Schafer said things such as “I don’t think he’s great for the industry, overall, and referring to Kotick as a “total prick.” Now Schafer is regretting what he said.
