All new Rock Band DLC only works with Rock Band 3
Bad new band members, your older copies of Rock Band are creeping towards obsolecense. All Rock Band DLC tracks and track packs will now only work with Rock Band 3. So that big Bon Jovi Greatest Hits: Rock Band Edition $20 pack that came out last week won’t work in Rock Band or Rock Band 2.
The shift began October 26, 2010. That’s when Harmonix declared all DLC is for Rock Band 3 players only…
PlayStation Store Update: Groovin’ for adventure this week! (July 14 to July 20, 2010)
This week’s downloadable PlayStation 3 game is DeathSpank for $14.99. Players take on the role of DeathSpank, an interesting hero in search of an artifact using a wide range of weapons than can include, but not limited to, chicken canons and unicorn poop. Players can help DeathSpank embark on quests to help the innocent and find new ways to take on hordes of demons along his journey to search for the artifact. Check out DeathSpank:
PlayStation Store Update: The Return of Frogger, Holiday downloads (December 13 to 19, 2009)
This week’s featured download is Frogger Returns for $4.99 on the PS3. The old 2D classic has an updated 3D look and a new multiplayer mode. Just watch out for traffic, alligators and many new enemies trying to stop Frogger from getting home to his pad.
Next is an interesting puzzle game for the PSP called Kurulin Fusion featuring the music of Final Fantasy‘s legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu and many others.

PlayStation Store Update: Own the skies with Battlefield 1943 (July 12 to July 18, 2009)
This week’s PlayStation Store features a limited time bundle offer for Battlefield: 1943 to include themes for $14.99 for the PlayStation 3. In this game players can chose to be play the game as a rifleman, a tank commander or a fighter pilot with the option to play alone or with friends in multi-player mode in this online shooter.
Also new this week for download is the Ultimate Board Game Collection for the PlayStation Portable for $9.99. In this collection players can engage their friends or play the computer in classic board games like Checkers, Chess, Dice, Jigsaws, Mahjong, Tick-Tac-Toe and many others.
Schedule of first wave of downloadable content for Rock Band
Harmonix and MTV Games have announced the first batch of downloadable content for their highly anticipated upcoming game Rock Band. Beginning on November 20, 2007 fans will be able to download song packs by Metallica, The Police and Queens of the Stone Age, each pack containing three songs.
