George Hotz visits South America despite ongoing court case

George Hotz really doesn’t appear to be taking his legal troubles with Sony very seriously. This was evidenced in his freestyle rap that made its rounds throughout the internet last month. Sony is currently trying to convince the court that California is the proper state to hold its trial instead of Hotz’s state of New Jersey. Lawyers on both sides have been trying to get an argumentative advantage over the other, but it’ll be hard to defend why Hotz recently decided to pick up and head to South America.

PlayStation Plus subscribers can play MAG as long as they want

MAG will soon be available in two forms – one sold at retail and one downloadable version. Tomorrow, (December 21, 2010), MAG will be offered on the PlayStation Store for $29.99. This version will come with all the latest updates to MAG already implemented, including PlayStation Move support. When it’s done downloading, your hard drive will be missing approximately 4.7GB.

PlayStation Plus Update: Explore Tomb Raider: Underworld (October 12 to 23, 2010)

This week’s PlayStation Plus feature is Tomb Raider: Underworld game trial free to members only. For a limited time players can follow Lara Croft as she searches for the final resting place of King Arthur but runs into an old enemy, Jacqueline Natla who tells her that Avalon and the Norse Helheim are one in the same. Players must help Lara solve puzzles and find the artifacts of Thor in Tomb Raider: Underworld

PlayStation Store Update: Pirates vs Ninjas vs Aliens (October 11 to 19, 2010)

This week’s downloadable PlayStation 3 game is Deadliest Warrior: The Game based on the television series of the same name. This week’s PlayStation Portable Download is Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction based on the popular cartoon series of the same name. There’s also price updates, new games, demos, bonus content, more music and stuff for avatars. Of the same name.

PlayStation Plus Update: Last Chance To Try Red Faction Guerrilla Free (Aug. 3 to Aug. 10, 2010)

This week’s PlayStation Plus featured game is Red Faction: Guerrilla. The 60-minute trial will no longer be available on August 10, 2010. So if you haven’t tried the game yet, download it now. Red Faction: Guerrilla allows players to control Alec Mason, a mining engineer who travels to Mars to start a new life and to reunite with his brother. He arrives to find the inhabitants of Mars being oppressed by the Earth Defense Force. After being gunned down by EDF, Alec joins the resistance group Red Faction and must fight for freedom.

Tenth Season South Park DVD set includes WOW trial disc, three game-inspired episodes

As if a season of South Park on DVD wasn’t fun enough, the set will also include a 14-day free trial of World of Warcraft. The DVD-ROM is inserted into the set with the usual CD-sized paper envelope.

The partnership is a result of the game-themed, emmy-nominated episode titled “Make Love, Not Warcraft,” featuring the little naughty kids playing WOW. The graphics for that episode were provided by Blizzard Entertainment, makers of WOW. South Park: The Complete Tenth Season three-disk DVD set will be available in stores an online August 21, 2007, and will retail for $49.99.
