PDP is at it again. If you’re unfamiliar with PDP, it’s the company that created unique controllers for Epic Mickey and Tron. PDP has another limited-edition Tron Xbox 360 controller coming down the pipeline. It will be released today (August 9, 2011) at 12pm Eastern or 9am Pacific. It will only be offered online for $49.99.

It’s Sunday, which means it’s time to check out Toys R Us’ latest ad for any gaming deals. If you’re shopping June 26 – July 2, 2011, then you’ll find two kinds of sales at the toy store this week. One discounts six 3DS games and the other is a pretty tempting iPod Touch deal.

With the dozens of auctions that have recently occurred to help the people of Japan, it can be easy to forget that there are countless other worthy causes in the world. One is by Share Our Strength called the “No Kid Hungry” campaign, whose goal is to end childhood hunger by the year 2015. Actor Jeff Bridges is the national spokesman for the organization and has offered his TRON-inspired painting for auction to raise money for this cause.

The combination of my almost life-long anticipation of a TRON sequel, amazing visuals and the seemingly universal disappointment of TRON: Legacy theatrical release gelled into rather unexpected enjoyment of TRON: Legacy on home video.

If you’re planning to do some shopping this forthcoming week, then there’s two reasons to stop by Target. If you’ve got some serious Tron obsession, then odds are you’ll be compelled to visit the store and take advantage of the Tron Legacy and Tron deal. Gamers with a lot of cash to burn, who perhaps didn’t cave and get the 3DS at launch, will find themselves lured in by a buy two, get one free sale event on select games and accessories. Head Monster for Monster Cable, Noel Lee on his tricked out Segway was the corporate cheerleader for the Monster press event today (January 5, 2011) at CES 2011.

The biggest announcements were a Tron iPhone and iPod Touch Sound Dock with carrying case. It has a super sweet disc design with pulsating lights as it plays. There was also a Tron PS3 dock and universal 3D glasses…

With the impending release of Tron: Legacy, Performance Designed Products (PDP) has announced another special Tron controller for the Xbox 360. PDP had other Tron inspired controllers for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii that had a cool blue outline. They also made the Epic Mickey paintbrush nunchuk controller that we liked so much. Today PDP surprised us again with an orange Tron Xbox 360 controller.

The highly anticipated Tron: Legacy is coming out this Friday (December 17, 2010), and the marketing hype by Disney has been incredible. For the last three years we’ve heard nothing but Tron: Legacy screamed from the rooftops of every corner in the Mouse House. You can buy posters, calendars, and of course, the tie-in game, Tron: Evolution, which was released on December 7, 2010. Hell, they’re even planning to add a Tron: Legacy ride at various Disney theme parks. With all this marketing, one could safely assume that Disney would equally hype the original, to help promote its sequel. Oddly, they’ve decided to take the opposite route.

Alright everyone it’s time once again to bask in the wonderful gaming deals that Kmart has to offer. Unlike last week, Kmart is going light on the gaming coupons for console games. Instead, Kmart is discounting some popular games by as much as $20. Your choices include Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Medal of Honor, NBA Jam and an assortment of EA Sports titles.
