A free version of Uno comes to the Android Market

We’ve turned you on to one free Android game today, but we’ve come across another one you might be interested in. Gameloft has released a free version of Uno in the Android Market. This is the full game complete with single and multiplayer modes. It has ads, but they’re really no big deal.

Kmart’s January 9-15, 2011 ad makes older games more appealing

Kmart’s January 9-15, 2011 ad has a full page filled with video game deals. The only downside is, none of the deals pertain to new releases. Still, there are a number of good games on sale and if you have a gift card from the holidays, you could get some good games you may have missed when they first came out.

First, let’s look at the bigger deals. If you buy a 320gb PS3 for $349.99 and then also buy an extra DualShock 3 controller at the same time, you’ll pay $34.99 for the controller instead of $54.99…

Gameloft is also having a holiday sale on iOS games

This is the week to get some big discounts on all sorts of iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad games. The EA sale was incredible, and Namco just took the lid off its App Store sale. From now until December 22, 2010, certain Gameloft is selling some of its games for only $0.99. Buy them for yourself, or gift them to some friends as a virtual stocking stuffer.

Nintendo downloads for January 25, 2010

It’s Monday once again, and time for your weekly Nintendo downloads update for the Wii and DSi. There are seven new games available, but sadly there aren’t any anticipated titled debuting. There are mainly some puzzle and action games, but nothing that really stands out and says, “Buy me!”

The only really notable release is Ghoul Patrol, a LucasArts game that wasn’t originally designed with the intent of becoming the Zombies Ate My Neighbors sequel, but was altered after Zombies Ate My Neighbors became an unexpected hit.

Gamertell’s Nintendo Download picks for the week are Ghoul Patrol (Virtual Console) and Escapee Go! (DSiWare)…

Nintendo downloads for December 21, 2009

It’s the week of Christmas, and once again Nintendo has a very full lineup of downloadable games waiting to be downloaded. It’s also a big event for the Wii Shop Channel, as Super Smash Bros. becomes the 500th game to be added to the Wii Shop Channel in North America.

In a way, it’s good that Super Smash Bros. and Ninja Gaiden, two stellar classic games, are added to Virtual Console this week. The latest WiiWare offerings aren’t all that enthralling. Surprisingly, DSiWare has two interesting games in the form of a version of Uno that supports the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and a port of Dragon’s Lair.

Gamertell’s Nintendo Download picks for the week are Super Smash Bros. (Virtual Console) and Dragon’s Lair (DSiWare)…

Know your Local Authorities: Xbox Live “policeman” Stephen Toulouse

With gamers spending more time in online environments, the need for moderation and “policing” of online behavior is becoming an issue of increasing importance. With all three of the major players in the console race (Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo) pushing online services, this mammoth task remains the responsibility of each company.

Stephen Toulouse, the lead program manager for policy and enforcement on Xbox Live, is just one of the people responsible for ensuring that Microsoft’s online service is kept in good order for its 12 million subscribers. Toulouse recently detailed some of his responsibilities during a keynote speech in Toronto on Wednesday (October 8, 2008) and…
