Epoch for iOS introduces robot on robot combat
Another iOS game powered by Unreal Engine 3 will make its way to the Apple App Store in the fourth quarter of this year. This game is called Epoch, and it is being developed by Uppercut Games. Uppercut Games already has a good amount of street cred because it was founded by two former employees of 2K Games with over two decades of experience. Epoch will be the first game released from Uppercut Games.

GDC 2008: Epic reveals improved Unreal Engine 3
As Microsoft has already confirmed that Gears of War 2 is already in development and ready for a November 2008 release, Epic took to the stage at this year’s Game Developers Conference to discuses some of the changes and additions being made to their hugely successful Unreal Engine 3.

Cross-Platform online play: – where PC and console gamers collide
PC and PS3 gamers are on a collision course, as another game Brothers in Arms will come pre-loaded with cross-platform online gameplay feature that will allow PC and PS3 gamers, who own a copy of the game, to compete against each other online.

Unreal Engine 3 charaters to be directed by PhaseSpace mocap
Motion capture company, PhaseSpace, has signed on to allow developers using the Unreal Engine 3 videogame engine to directly direct in-game characters using its motion capture tech (how redundant was all that?).
Actors and game directors can see the full character moving within the game in real time instead of a standalone, wireframe character on a blank background.
