The weekend is pretty much here. We’re going to follow our weekend trend by letting you in on a sale OnLive currently has going on. From now until Sunday at 11pm PDT, certain shooter titles will be discounted by 30%. Some of these games can be rented and some cannot. However they all have 30 minute demos.

Midway Games, like most other considerate E3 attendees, has announced a list of games which it will be displaying at the event. It looks like, this year, Midway is going a somewhat safe route when it comes to games, as it will be showing off new installments in its popular Mortal Kombat, Unreal Tournament and Touchmaster series at the event.

The selection this year seems to reflect Midway’s desire to reach two, very different audiences. Games like Unreal Tournament 3 (Xbox 360), Wheelman (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (PS3, Xbox 360) are being released for Midway’s faithful fans, while titles like Touchmaster 2 (DS) and Game Party 2 (Wii) are for casual players.

Epic Games Vice President Mark Rein went online on Epic Games’ fan forums to debunk rumors of a November 2007 release date for Unreal Tournament 3 and the games exclusiveness to the PS3 console.

With the release of Unreal Tournament 3 only two months away (November 2007 for PS3 and PC), fans of the series are itching to get their hands on any piece of playable code. Normally, a few months before a game’s launch, a demo is released to tease gamers, for fan feedback and help with testing. Epic Games’ VP, Mark Reign, has vetoed a UT3 demo for the PS3 before the game’s release although a PC demo will most certainly be available.

Madden NFL 08 might look stunning on the Xbox 360 as compared to the PS3, but that won’t be true of all games. Mark Rein, President Epic Games, has said that the Xbox 360 version of its upcoming game Unreal Tournament 3 will have less game content than the PS3 version. He, rather helplessly, attributed this to the comparatively small size of the DVD. On the other hand, the PS3 version won’t be hampered by the disc size because the console’s spacious Blu-Ray capabilities. The Blu-Ray Disc is very accommodating at five times the size of a DVD.

Epic Games and Midway have made a deal to make Unreal Tournament 3 exclusive to the Playstation 3 (and the PC). Midway just released its lineup of games that will be on display at E3 2007 starting tomorrow (July 11, 2007) through the end of the week.

The biggest is Unreal Tournament 3, expected to be released for PC Fall 2007. The strangest is Ultimate Mortal Kombat for the DS.

Other new games include Stranglehold, BlackSite: Area 51 and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, based on a Cartoon network series.
