Valve has even more Team Fortress 2 content planned for 2012
Believe it or not, there is still plenty of new Team Fortress 2 content in the works. Valve has something super secret up its sleeve and it doesn’t have anything to do with hats or maps. TF2 is already free-to-play, so whatever Valve is doing may turn out to be pretty significant.
The Steam iOS and Android app is open to everyone
Early this morning, I checked the Android Market to see if there were any updates available for my apps. Steam was among the apps that had received an update while I was sleeping. This update has opened the app to any and all registered Steam users. The beta tag still remains, but at least you more »
Valve sends DMCA complaint to Google, unofficial Steam apps disappear
Last week, Valve released beta versions of its official Steam application for iOS and Android. The app lets users chat with friends, browse sales and keep up with the Steam community in general. Before this app launched, there were third-party Steam apps in the Android Market that provided similar features. These apps didn’t require any more »

Dead Space 2 for $4.99 and more during Steam’s autumn sale
Today is the last day for Steam’s autumn sale. For the past week, Steam has done what it does best by seriously discounting some really good games. Today, Steam isn’t charging over $25 for the featured games on its website. The one that stands out the most to me is Dead Space 2 for a mere $4.99.
Steam’s Autumn Sale is pretty irresistible
For the next several hours, Steam will discount a number of games as part of its Autumn sale. The games we are going to tell you about now will be swapped out tomorrow. If you happen to miss them, there are still a bunch of other games for sale from now until November 27 from the likes of Bethesda, Rockstar, Valve and others.
The Steam forums are compromised, change those passwords
Just when we thought the wave of hacks involving videogame companies had ceased, we get hit news of another major breach. Valve has confirmed the Steam forums had been broken into. This would explain the closure of the forums earlier this week. Even if you don’t use the forums, you are urged to change your Steam password because there is a possibility personally identifiable information is now in the hands of one or more hackers.
Second Portal 2 DLC is a map editor
Portal 2 is the game that keeps on giving. Even though everyone has probably already completed the single and multiplayer campaigns by now, Valve keeps adding extra features that make it worth returning to the PS3, Xbox 360, Windows and Mac game. The first DLC, Peer Review, added a whole new multiplayer track and Challenge modes with leaderboards for the original single and multiplayer modes. Now Valve’s announced the second DLC, which should end up providing enough content to make Portal 2 relevant forever…
Stuffed Turret is among the cutest things ever made
Now this is the Portal 2 product I have been waiting to see! My life is complete, now that I’ve learned I can own my very own Turret. Valve obviously saw the demand for them and heard my silent prayers, because ThinkGeek has confirmed it will be carrying them in December 2011. $29.99 will be a small price to pay for Turret love.
The Portal 2 Turret toy looks and acts almost exactly like the turrets in the game…
Submit to Portal 2′s Peer Review DLC on October 4, 2011
You know what I just realized? Something’s missing. Let’s see, I have my purse. I have my cell phone. I remembered to lock the door before I left the house. Oh wait, I remember! I seem to be missing the free Portal 2 DLC pack that Valve promised would be coming for anyone with the PS3, Xbox 360, Windows or Mac version of the game!
Well, it’s been found now. Valve’s calling it Peer Review, and it will make sure everyone can play it next week on October 4, 2011…
