Square Enix New York Comic Con plans include 5 games and 5 events

The New York Comic Con will be held this weekend, October 13-16, 2011, allowing all those East coast people who didn’t get to attend the San Diego Comic Con a chance at fun, geeky adventures. Well, geeky and gaming, since video game developers and publishers occasionally frequent the events to bring joy to their fans. It turns out Square Enix will, like like Nintendo, be showing up with some things for fans to see and do.

As you can expect, this means there will be a Square Enix booth…

PAX Prime 2011: Square Enix has a 5 game lineup ready

Pax Prime 2011 is this weekend, and Square Enix has a lot planned for the convention. It’ll have games to play, panels to attend and even a few little events to participate in. So if you’re lucky enough to be going to the August 26-28, 2011 convention, you’ll have some extra fun to indulge in. You may even get to hear a game announcement.

So attendees will be able to pop by a Square Enix booth at the San Diego Convention Center show floor to watch or play some games, and later visit one of two panels to learn more about forthcoming games. E3 2011: Square Enix’s lineup includes 8 games

Square Enix, one of the video game heavy hitters, has just announced it’s E3 2011 lineup. There aren’t any surprises this year. All eight games that will be on display at the event were pretty much expected to be there. The only surprising thing actually is that a few games that should be showing up, Final Fantasy XIII Versus and Final Fantasy Type-0, aren’t. Still, we’re always happy to look at an assortment of games from one of the biggest developers and publishers out there.

So let’s look at the eight games Square Enix has said it will definitely have ready for attendees to see. Then, maybe next week, stop by Square Enix’s E3 2011 website to check for more details…

DOFUS and Wakfu getting Rogues and Masqueraiders

Ankama game fans will find a little more variety in two of their favorite games soon. DOFUS and Wakfu are being invaded by Rogues and Masqueraiders! Those are new classes for the new games. If you play DOFUS or are part of the Wakfu beta, the new options are immediately available for your characters and ready to be tested out. People who aren’t in the Wakfu beta have to wait until April 27, 2011, to play the game and test out the classes there…

Ankama Convention 6 to be held March 5 – 6, 2011

Ankama fans better start making plans. The sixth annual Ankama Convention has been announced. If you want to go, you better make sure you’re at the Lille Grand Palais in Lille, France on March 5 and 6, 2011. The convention will run from 9am to 7pm both days, and there’ll be lots for DOFUS and Wakfu fans to see and enjoy.

Square Enix joins forces with Ankama for Wakfu debut

Ankama’s popular free-to-play strategic MMORPG Wakfu is coming to North America with the help of a powerhouse. Square Enix has stepped up to help bring this game, from the creators of the already popular turn-based, strategic MMORPG DOFUS to a larger audience. I wonder if this means the animated Wakfu series will be released outside of Europe too…

2010 Ankama Convention scheduled for April 17-18, 2010

The next Ankama Convention has just been announced. The fifth annual Ankama Convention, a place for fans of DOFUS and Wakfu to celebrate the games, meet and talk with Ankama employees and try out the newest Ankama games, will take place April 17-18, 2010. The event will be held in Paris at Hall 5 of the Porte de Versailles. It’s only a two day event, but the convention will run from 9am to 7pm both days.

There are three kinds of passes available, a two day premium pass that costs €35 ($48), a day pass that costs €12 ($16.50) and an accompanying pass that costs €12 ($16.50). In case you’re wondering, the accompanying pass is for parents of children under 12, and is a two day pass. It lets you into the Ankama Convention both days, but doesn’t let you get a gift pack or participate in events.
