Warhammer Online’s free trial now endless
Mythic Entertainment and EA have announced that, instead of only offering a 10 day free trial for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, they will begin offering an endless free trial. I guess EA wants to lure in new customers. This means that you can try and play Warhammer Online for free for as long as you want. In addition, if you ever had a 10 day free trial account, you can now use it again to play in the endless free trial.
There is now also a new Warhammer Online streaming endless trial client that will make it easier for people to begin playing the game. It’s still a pretty substantial download, since it’s larger than 1gb, but it’s smaller than it was before and streams additional required content while you play so you don’t need to download everything to play.
There has also been new content added to the free trial…
Gamertell Review: Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning: Dark Storm Gathering by Chris Wraight
After a pretty lackluster literary performance, WAR seems to have hit a pleasing note in terms of the literature backing it up. Dark Storm Gathering, sequel to Empire in Chaos, made a lot of really interesting fixes that made the story a lot more compelling. Also, as an added gift, it’s written in a way where you don’t lose much if you pick this up without reading Empire in Chaos.
Spread the love: MMO Valentine’s Day 2009 events
Valentine’s Day is quickly coming, but perhaps your loved one isn’t nearby. If you’re in the middle of a long distance love affair, it may be a good time to check out a free-to-play MMO, and take part in one of the special Valentine’s Day events to show your special someone just how much you care about him or her.
After all, nothing says devotion like staying at home, on your computer, for a minimum of two hours, all so you can complete certain objectives together and maybe earn some kind of special token that displays your feelings.
So let’s look at what some MMOs are up to…

Two classes being added to Warhammer Online late 2008
Following a successful launch earlier this year (September 18, 2008) Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) will receive its first official update “this winter” (2008) in the form of two new character classes: Empire’s Knight of the Blazing Sun and Dark Elf Black Guard.

Gamertell Review: Warhammer: Empire in Chaos by Anthony Reynolds
Title: Empire in ChaosAuthor: Anthony ReynoldsPublisher: The Black LibraryRelease Date: Sept. 2008Price: $7.99Rating: Two thumbs sideways, 74/100, C, ** out of five.Pros: Quick pace, strong character development.Cons: The book is occasionally lacking in development of settings and events. Progression of events are brutally predictable and occasionally ends up more tiresome to read in its rough spots.Overall: If you’re going to buy the book wait a while for it to come to a used book store.
Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 usually have these incredible story lines that have very few flaws in the way they are delivered. The book Empire in Chaos, based on the MMO Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, is not one of the higher notes of Warhammer lore.

Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning goes live
On September 18, 2008, the servers for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) went live in North America, Europe and the Oceanic territories. Now that the game is out of the beta stage and is open for public consumption, players are invited to join in the mayhem.
WAR is the grim MMORPG version of a gothic world that has literally gone to Hell. Some parts of the world may have once been a paradise. However, wars between anyone who can fight and the forces of Chaos have essentially put the world on a path raging toward ruin.
As shown to those who participated in the beta version of WAR, it will be played like a mixture of..
