Review: Mario Sports Mix for Nintendo Wii
http://admintell.napco.com/ee/images/uploads/gamertell/mariosportsmix-box.jpgThis game is too expensive. I suppose that’ll be my biggest complaint. If Mario Sports Mix were priced at $30 as it should be, I could easily recommend it. But $50 for this? Mario is arguably the biggest name in gaming, but it’s not worth $20 thrown onto a mediocre title. Perhaps I’m being a bit too harsh, because the game is polished. Any disappointment you feel with Mario Sports Mix will not come from the presentation, but from how quickly you grow tired of it.
Gamertell Review: Super Mario All-Stars for Wii
Nothing beats the original adventures of the brothers Mario. Whether you are ducking down pipes, saving princesses, or jumping on strange mushroom or reptilian creatures, the originals were the best.
Super Mario Bros. All Stars 25th Anniversary Edition allows you to relive the first three Mario games, plus an extra Lost Levels game on your Wii system.
Gamertell Review: FlingSmash with Wii Remote Plus
Nintendo marketed this game the wrong way. Instead of being sold as “FlingSmash with Wii Remote Plus inside!” it should instead have sold it as “Wii remote Plus with free game (FlingSmash)!”
This game is kinda cute and will kill a few minutes while you test your Wii Remote Plus (or your Wii MotionPlus attachments on your older WiiMote) but the controller is the real reason to buy this game. Click through to find out why…
Gamertell Review: Kirby’s Epic Yarn
Kirby’s Epic Yarn is entirely adorable. Not only is it fun to play but it’s almost equally fun to watch, exuding classic platforming fun in every single stitch.
It’s all so very cute yet not in a disgustingly-covered-in-icing or swarming-with-pretty-pink-flowers sort of way. Instead it’s a clever design theme that is executed very well and works well throughout the game. Instead it’s like a gaming blanket – a digital Snuggie, if you will – that will keep you warn this Holiday season.
Gamertell Review: The Conduit for Wii
Remember Collective Soul? They had those massive hits in the early-to-mid-90s and they still put out pretty good albums even if radio largely ignores them. I don’t play my Collective Soul CDs often but, when I do, I think, “You know, this is a very good band. As solid as you want a rock band to be. I should listen to them more often.” Then, I promptly forget about them again.
That’s exactly how I feel about Sega’s The Conduit for Wii.
