Review: The Kore Gang for Nintendo Wii
The Kore Gang plays like your typical Saturday afternoon alien invasion movie, only this time the aliens are invading from inner-Earth, not outer space. If you’re looking to fill the gap between The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Xenoblade Chronicles, this is the game to get.
Review: ABBA: You Can Dance for Wii
An impressive portion of Abba’s catalog has been compiled into the Wii game Abba: You Can Dance, from the developers of Just Dance. If they’re going to dedicate a dancing game to one band, this was the right choice. Because after all, if you can’t dance to Abba, you probably shouldn’t be dancing.
Gamertell Review: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for Wii
It’s worth us taking a look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 despite the late date because it’s worth you taking a look at the game. Hard core gamers already own it. Fans already own it. But what about the casual Wii owner or the family who bought the system last Christmas and hasn’t played it in six months? To those gamers, Modern Warfare 3 will represent all that is good and all that is bad about the Nintendo Wii.
Review: Madden NFL 12
Madden NFL has finally hit its stride on the Wii. EA has been messing around with the formula pretty much since the Wii launch, making big changes such as the failed throwing motion pass system and the recent stylized look of the players. Madden NFL 12 doesn’t bring any drastic changes around, it just tightens up what’s already there and offers a few new options, creating the best Madden the Wii has ever seen.
E3 2011: Fighting evil with Power Rangers Samurai for Wii (video)
I know there’s a new version of Power Rangers back on the air because my son watches it. It was for his sake, then, that I stopped by that station of the Namco Bandai booth this week at E3. They were happy to show it to me, and quite honestly, within a few minutes, I was happy I was playing it. It’s a basic brawler, aimed at the show’s demographic. But it incorporates some unique features to help pull kids into the game.
E3 2011: Centipede: Infestation first-hand impressons, boss battle (video)
My brother and I have an ongoing debate about classic arcade game updates: He hates them and I understand them. In some cases, those old cabinet games only worked because of their simplicity. Occasionally, though, the action can translate to a modern gaming engine if done right. I’m happy to say Atari’s Centipede: Infestation for Wii and 3DS is being done right.
JAWS to terrorize Wii, 3DS gamers this fall
We’re gonna need a bigger WiiMote. Majesco announced today that JAWS: Ultimate Predator is in development for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii systems, with an expected fall release date. The “action-packed and intense game” is set 35 years after the events of the iconic movie, and hopefully involves neither Lance Guest nor Mario Van Peebles in any way.
Review: Mario Sports Mix for Nintendo Wii
http://admintell.napco.com/ee/images/uploads/gamertell/mariosportsmix-box.jpgThis game is too expensive. I suppose that’ll be my biggest complaint. If Mario Sports Mix were priced at $30 as it should be, I could easily recommend it. But $50 for this? Mario is arguably the biggest name in gaming, but it’s not worth $20 thrown onto a mediocre title. Perhaps I’m being a bit too harsh, because the game is polished. Any disappointment you feel with Mario Sports Mix will not come from the presentation, but from how quickly you grow tired of it.
Review: Ghost Mania for WiiWare
Oh, no! Ghosts are loose and running around the world (no thanks to two lazy ghost hunters).
Now you have to get them back by catching them with some falling blocks. You know, another typical way of catching spirits.
Gamertell Review: Reload
There are no people or animals in this game, just tons of tons of targets. Moving targets, quick targets, still targets and targets that shoot back at you. It’s all out target shooting warfare.
