burgertime world tour wiiware

Good morning everyone! It’s time for yet another tiny Nintendo Download update. I guess only three games per week is going to be the norm now, as there’s only one new 3DS game, one WiiWare game and one DSiWare game to choose from. Thankfully, BurgerTime World Tour is one of them. So we do have more »

sakura samurai art of the sword

Okay, it’s good news/bad news time when it comes to Nintendo Downloads. The good news is, the 3DS and DSiWare games available this week look really promising and might be worth your money. The bad news is, this is the smallest update ever since there are only three games available. Look at it this way, more »

newton vs the horde

Well, here’s a surprise with this week’s Nintendo Download update, three of the four new games actually look good. Though really, all four might be decent, just the fourth DSware game is more for small children. The highlight is, of course, Renegade Kid’s Mutant Mudds, but even Newton vs the Horde and Flipper 2: Flush more »

stonekeep bones of the ancestors

Today’s Nintendo Download update is about what you’d expect from, well, a Nintendo download update. There’s nothing especially striking among the 3DS Virtual Console game, two DSiWare games and lone WiiWare game. Actually, in theory the WiiWare game, Stonekeep: Bones of the Ancestors, sounded interesting as its a first person, action RPG where you do more »

WiiWare demos migrate back to the Wii Shop Channel

cave story wiiware

Nintendo’s weird and not good at the downloadable games and content thing. The Wii, DSi and 3DS all have online shops, but they’re not very well organized, there are never sales and demos are only occasionally available for select WiiWare games. It seems the company has realized this kind of sales strategy is bad, because more »

carmen sandiego adventures in math crumbling cathedral

Hey, guess what? Today’s Nintendo Downloads update actually has a theme. I’d say it’s pinball, since two of the four games released today just so happen to be pinball games. The other two are a Carmen Sandiego WiiWare game and another one of those Rytmik music apps. So there you go, relive the glory days more »

samurai sword destiny 3ds

I’m not really sure what to make of this week’s offerings on the various Nintendo eShops. I mean, nothing really stands out and yet somehow all three of the portable games seem like they might actually have potential. I guess when you get so used to seeing shovelware-style games, you don’t know how to reach more »

carmen sandiego adventures in math big ben burglery

This week is a very good Nintendo Downloads week, and it’s all because of one game. Today is the day that indie darling VVVVVV shows up in the 3DS eShop. Are you excited? I’m excited, and I already have VVVVVV thanks to the Humble Indie Bundle 4! Aside from that, there’s nothing else especially awesome. more »

La-Mulana is done, will be out next year

la mulana wiiware

You know the saying, “Better late than ever?” Well, it’s particularly applicable in the case of La-Mulana. It was originally a freeware, indie game that was supposed to receive an updated WiiWare port, just like what happened with Cave Story. Except there were some issues. You know, things sometimes come up in development, and it more »

nintendo_downloads_weekly_update_logo_640

Wow. Well, this week’s Nintendo Downloads update isn’t that bad. Granted, on the 3DS you’ll have to perform an incredibly short system update to access the eShop and browse, but it may be worth it since Mighty Switch Force and Tetris are there waiting for you. The WiiWare and DSiWare games aren’t as inviting, but at least there’s something.

Unfortunately, there’s still no sign of Swapnote, the free 3DS app that will allow users to send messages over SpotPass to people on their friends list or nearby 3DS owners via StreetPass. The program appeared in Japan’s eShop yesterday as Itsu no Ma ni Koukan Nikki and it is supposedly going to appear in the European eShop today as Letter Box….
