HeroClix Online now includes Marvel Infinity Challenge
Perhaps the most beloved off all of Wizkids’ tabletop games was HeroClix, a miniatures game that featured battles between comic book characters including Batman, Judge Dredd and even Santa. Collectible miniatures games, even those with high sales and beloved by fans, just don’t seem to survive and HeroClix was no exception, ceasing production after a mere six years.

WizKids’ comic-based collectible miniatures game HeroClix uses little plastic men to represent titanic battles between superheroes. Characters available range from comic legends such as Captain America and Superman to to the heroes of Delta Squad from Gears of War. Now you’ll be able to play even at times when you can’t get your local group together. WizKids has announced HeroClix Online. The game will present a 3D virtual tabletop and support tournaments for up to 64 players. Winning players will get prizes including special figures.
Star Trek beaming onto tabletops soon
It’s been a very long time since Star Trek has had a decent board or tabletop game, but WizKids hopes to cash in the success of the 2009 movie reboot with Star Trek Expeditions when the game comes out June 15. 2011.
