CES 2011: Peavey’s got Marvel licensed guitars

Guitar manufacturer Peavey is at CES this week to promote their Marvel Universe guitars, which are standard electric guitars painted with a popular Marvel character.

E3 2009: Activision unleashes X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged Edition downloadable content

If you’re an X-men, you’ve got to be in the absolute best shape. Even if you’re only a character in a video game, it’s true. So, Activision thought it’d be doing all of the X-men Origins: Wolverine PS3 and Xbox 360 players a favor by announcing, during E3 2009, the release of the Weapon X Arena downloadable content from Xbox Live and the PlayStation Store. The press release states the Xbox Live price is 800 Microsoft Points, and I wasn’t able to find a price for the PS3 dlc.

Does that sound familiar? It should. That Weapon X Arena dlc was the GameStop Exclusive. Anyone who preordered the PS3 or Xbox 360 game there got a code that unlocked this content for free. If you didn’t feel like preordering, now you can access it for a price…

X-Men: First Class graduating to the big screen

In an interview with MTV News, writer Josh Schwartz confirmed that the Marvel’s merry band of mutants will indeed be expanding with another film, this time centering around the mini-series X-Men: First Class.

The veteran TV writer for the CW’s Gossip Girl and NBC’s Chuck did state in the interview that, despite early rumors, he would not be directing X-Men: First Class

Marvel’s Wolverine, Magneto getting their own movies

Coming to theaters near you in 2009, two of Marvel Comics best known and most popular mutants will be getting their very own movie spin-offs to the X-Men trilogy, they being Wolverine and Magneto.

While rumors of the two X-Men stars getting their very own origin stories have been humming around the web and your local comic book store for the past four years, it looks like both will be in theaters very soon with a Wolverine movie being released first…

Marvel, Nicktoons team to bring Iron Man and Wolverine to the small screen

Today is a day for Marvel Comic fans to stand up and cheer. Marvel and – believe or not – Nickelodeon have announced that they are brining Iron Man and X-Men to the small screen in the form of two, all new, 26 half hour animated episodes to be aired on Nickelodeon’s Nicktoons Network.

The X-Men series will be titled: Wolverine & the X-Men, as the series is looking to cash in on the most popular X-Men of them all, Wolverine, who will also be getting his own solo movie due to be released either late this year or early 2009…
