Brian Wood of Relic Entertainment sacrifices self to save his wife and unborn child
Brian Wood, a lead designer for Relic Entertainment (famed for Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War and Company of Heroes) sacrificed his life to protect the ones he loved.
On September 3, 2010, Wood and his family were on their way to their Washington home after a family outing when his wagon was struck by an oncoming Chevy Blazer. The driver was a 21-year-old woman who was believed to be drunk at the time.

Peak has released the first full size, wood body guitar game controller. It’s essentially a real electric guitar (ever touch one of those?) with the electric components swapped for plastic controller parts.

I swear to Jimi Hendrix, this was my initial reaction when a Peak Products rep told me they are producing the first ever full-size, all wood guitar game controller:

Here was the email response I received from a rep at Max Borges Agency, the PR company representing Peak:
1. Seriously.2 [and 3]. Not that heavy at all. Lighter than a real guitar of the same size. Held one when they demoed it at our office
Dubbed the Starpex, the controller will be compatible with both the PS2 and PS3, can be used to play both Guitar Hero or Rock Band and can be used as a wired or wireless controller.
