Kmart gaming deals for the week ending October 16

Kmart is at it again with a new wave of videogame deals for the entire week. The retailer is offering gaming coupons for new games and discounts on old ones. If you’ve yet to experience the first two Call of Duty games from this generation, you can pick up both of them for $40. Conversely, you can see what all the fuss is about by purchasing Medal of Honor this Tuesday (October 12, 2010) and Kmart will give you a $20 gaming coupon for your business.

How to enter the Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer beta

Activision has officially started the closed multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: World at War exclusively on the Xbox 360. The multiplayer portion of the game is expected to be just as good or even better than Call of Duty 4. The beta is only running for a few weeks so time is of the essence. You can join the WWII inspired mayhem by doing one of two things.

A little more about Call Of Duty: World At War

After its trip into modern warfare, the Call of Duty franchise is returning to the World War II time frame. The big difference is that it will be focusing on a new front in the war to end all wars. Call of Duty: World at War will be focusing on the Pacific theater as you island hop your way to victory or death.

Details on this new CoD release are sparse but from the information coming out, there is really not that much that innovates in terms of the war/shooter experience. It’s not developed by Infinity Ward, the company behind CoD2/CoD4. It’s developed by Treyarch, the developers of CoD3 and will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii.
