E3 2011: X-Men: Destiny will let you unlock your mutant potential
Activision and Silicon Knights are teaming up for X-Men: Destiny, an action role-playing game that begins with you receiving your “X-Gene.” In the Marvel Comics universe, some heroes receive their powers in freak accidents. Others, called mutants, are just born with a gene that will give them superpowers. This “X-Gene” is not unlike the onset of puberty for a normal teenager.
In X-Men:Destiny, your character is attending a peaceful rally in San Francisco when conflict breaks out. Your mutation kicks in right then and you will choose what superpower you want.
Alternate Disk-Tractions: X-Men animated series Volume 5 on DVD

Because the Old Soldiers are in this volume you will see Captain America and some other hero’s as well. Including old favorites like Longshot and Red Skull.
A few games we want to see remade in HD
Nostalgia can go a long way these days. We would gladly hand over money to play the same game we enjoyed more than ten years ago if we don’t own a physical copy. Some companies have taken it a step further and have or will remake games with a glossy coat of HD graphics built in such as Bionic Commando: Rearmed, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 and Turtles in Time.
There are still a few games that we will stumble over ourselves to buy if they were touched up and distributed over Xbox Live, PSN or WiiWare and we thought we’d share them with you today…
E3 2009: Activision unleashes X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged Edition downloadable content
If you’re an X-men, you’ve got to be in the absolute best shape. Even if you’re only a character in a video game, it’s true. So, Activision thought it’d be doing all of the X-men Origins: Wolverine PS3 and Xbox 360 players a favor by announcing, during E3 2009, the release of the Weapon X Arena downloadable content from Xbox Live and the PlayStation Store. The press release states the Xbox Live price is 800 Microsoft Points, and I wasn’t able to find a price for the PS3 dlc.
Does that sound familiar? It should. That Weapon X Arena dlc was the GameStop Exclusive. Anyone who preordered the PS3 or Xbox 360 game there got a code that unlocked this content for free. If you didn’t feel like preordering, now you can access it for a price…
Blu-ray Update: X-Men trilogy, Watchmen tie-in and digital comic coming March 2009
Just in time for the big-screen releases, dueling comic book companies put out must-have Blu-rays of popular franchises.
Three weeks after the Watchmen movie hit theaters, an animated movie, Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter, based on the story within a story concept featured in the original Watchmen 12-issue miniseries back in 1986. Also being released in March is Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic, a two-disc collection of the original twelve issues of the Watchmen comic book series.
Competing company Marvel is releasing all three X-Men feature films as a box set to preempt the May 1, 2009, release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

X-Men: First Class graduating to the big screen
In an interview with MTV News, writer Josh Schwartz confirmed that the Marvel’s merry band of mutants will indeed be expanding with another film, this time centering around the mini-series X-Men: First Class.
The veteran TV writer for the CW’s Gossip Girl and NBC’s Chuck did state in the interview that, despite early rumors, he would not be directing X-Men: First Class…
Marvel’s Wolverine, Magneto getting their own movies
Coming to theaters near you in 2009, two of Marvel Comics best known and most popular mutants will be getting their very own movie spin-offs to the X-Men trilogy, they being Wolverine and Magneto.
While rumors of the two X-Men stars getting their very own origin stories have been humming around the web and your local comic book store for the past four years, it looks like both will be in theaters very soon with a Wolverine movie being released first…
