Shortly after The Bitbag suggested that exclusive Soul Calibur IV characters will be made more widely available, and moments after Siliconera reported that Japanese Soul Calibur IV owners will be able to purchase and download the missing Star Wars character for their game, Namco Bandai release a press release confirming that this offer will be available to North American players as well. On October 23, 2008, Japanese and North American players will be able to purchase the missing character from the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.

Swag of the Day: Soulcalibur IV Xbox 360 faceplates

Although I wasn’t able to scoop up the swag at this year’s E3 or Comic Con, I still did manage to get an unexpected gift from Namco Bandai. Packed with my press copy of the game, they nicely included a pair of Soulcalibur IV-themed Xbox 360 faceplates. A themed faceplate was offered as an incentive (aka premium) for gamers who pre-ordered Soulcalibur IV from certain retailers.

The first is a green faceplate featuring the little green guru himself, Yoda, who is a playable character it the Xbox 360 version of the game (Darth Vader’s in the PS3 version of the game).

Upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars games to be Wii, DS exclusives

LucasArts recently announced two Star Wars: The Clone Wars titles that will be exclusively available for the Nintendo Wii and DS this holiday season just in time for the upcoming CG-animated feature, brand-new movie and weekly television series.

LucasArts and Krome Studios plans to immerse players into the world of Clone Wars with familiar characters from the animated series mixed with 3D CGI technology to create a whole new interactive world.
