So don’t worry about falling out of your chair over the SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs Full Deployment Edition. If you’ve got $149.99 to burn, you can grab this bundle when the game debuts on April 19, 2011…
PlayStation Plus subscribers can play MAG as long as they want
MAG will soon be available in two forms – one sold at retail and one downloadable version. Tomorrow, (December 21, 2010), MAG will be offered on the PlayStation Store for $29.99. This version will come with all the latest updates to MAG already implemented, including PlayStation Move support. When it’s done downloading, your hard drive will be missing approximately 4.7GB.
SOCOM 4 released delayed until 2011
Bad news for all the armchair SOCOMs ready to storm the beaches and take down an unsuspecting dictator. On its SOCOM blog, Zipper Interactive confirmed the first-person shooter will be delayed until sometime in 2011. Zipper’s statements indicate the delay is being used to improve the game.
Free MAG Fast Attack Gear Pack DLC arrives April 29
Good news MAG players, more DLC is on the way. While the idea of more content being added to the game is a welcome prospect on its own, it’s made even better since Zipper Interactive has announced it’s free DLC. Hurry to the PlayStation Store on April 29, 2010 to download and arm your characters with the Fast Attack Gear Pack.
The Fast Attack Gear Pack includes lots of new equipment for your characters to use in the game. The update includes Raven’s HM 90 SE, SVER’s SASR M and Valor’s MK 14 Mod 1 EBR, three sniper rifles. I’m not sure if they’ll give you an advantage, but the new additions will add variety. The DLC also includes Improved Light Armor to protect your characters. You’ll have to pay for the armor with 400 in-game credits if you want it.
It’s nice to see that Zipper Interactive is going to keep supporting MAG and its fans with free DLC…
