Strategy guide for Borderlands: Game of The Year edition sighted

There is no official word from Take-Two Interactive, but a listing at GameStop (that has since been taken down) advertised a strategy guide for Borderlands:Game of the Year Edition. The now mysteriously absent guide was set to release September 7, 2010. If such a game follows the precedent set by previous GOTY packages, it would contain all the previously released bits of downloadable content for the game. In Borderlands‘ case, that would be Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, and The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.

Download content arrives for Borderlands, zombies included

Fans of the successful first-person shooter role-playing game will have a surprise waiting for them next time they log into their console.

The first downloadable content for Borderlands is available on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. It was released November 24, 2009, for 800 Microsoft Points for the Xbox 360 and for US$10 for the PS3.

The new content is titled “The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned” and it tells the story of an experiment gone haywire at the small town of Jakobs Cove. Dr. Ned manages to turn the workers and other inhabitants of the island into monsters and flesh eating zombies. The player must help Dr. Ned to find a cure for the disease and rid the island of the creatures created by the experiment.
