YSP-1400Soundbars seem simple on paper, but by the time you pair them with a separate subwoofer, the space savers aren’t saving you nearly the space that most people would like. Yamaha has addressed those issues by creating the new YSP-1400 and YAS 152 soundbars with dual woofers and integrated amps. The YSP-1400 is a 39-3/8-inch-wide model, while the YAS-152 measures in at 47-1/4 inches and is specifically designed for 55-inch and larger TVs. From the press release:

“With the addition of the YSP-1400 and YAS-152 to our line, no other manufacturer comes close to Yamaha in offering as broad a range of surround sound bars in terms of product features, size and pricing options,” said Bob Goedken, general manager, AV Division, Yamaha Corporation of America. “The YSP-1400 brings the jaw-dropping experience of a Digital Sound Projector to a whole new audience, while the wide design and big sound of the YAS-152 couldn’t be better positioned to address the faster-than-expected growth of the 55-inch plus TV market.”

Both bars feature Bluetooth connectivity for media streaming and app-based remote control, an IR repeater to for control, and UniVolume to ensure a consistent volume level between programs. The YSP-1400 and YAS-152, will be available in October with MSRPs of $449.95 and $349.95, respectively.
