PSB Speakers subseries 100

PSB Speakers is looking to take care of your special speaker needs with new additions to its family, fresh from CEDIA EXPO 2013.

To begin with, PSB is releasing the SubSeries 100, a small, yet powerful subwoofer, perfect for your desktop system. If you’re like me, your computer desk is a jumble of computer hardware, printer, papers, wires, disc cases, and knick-knacks (read: Star Wars memorabilia). If you’d like to bring the boom when you’re listening to music or gaming, the SubSeries 100 packs a 5 ¼” woofer into a svelte, 6 3/8” x 6 3/8” x 7 7/8”, glossy black case. If you need more rumble, PSB recommends installing a pair of SubSeries 100s. At their relatively minuscule size, and with an MSRP of $249, you may be inclined to do so. The SubSeries 100 will be available in October.

Moving from the office into the living room, PSB has four new speakers for the home theater. The W-LCR features two 5 ¼” woofers and a 1” tweeter, and work well as front or surround speakers. The W-LCR 2 adds a 4” midrange driver to the W-LCR, making it great for a center channel or high-performance speaker for large rooms. Both W-LCR models are in-wall speakers. Those of you with rooms that would make wall mounting inconvenient, PSB has you covered with their C-line of speakers. The C-LCR ($799) uses the same drivers as the W-LCR, but takes advantage of the added depth provided by a ceiling speaker to add some angles and other special materials to the package. The C-SUR ($799) is a dual-mode speaker, best used as a surround speaker.
