If you haven’t had the chance to experiment and play with some wireless-enabled home equipment, you’re seriously missing out. Not only do the latest wireless lights, thermostats, fans, humidifiers (and more) save energy, the user control is both fun and convenient. Wireless connectivity with all these different devices makes it possible to stay on top of your home when you’re not at home.

Although many products and services are similar, none are the same. With that being said, some companies do their mobile app better than others. If you’re one who likes minimal, and powerful, then the latest from Savant Systems is sure to be of interest.

Things like climate, security, appliances, music, television can all be monitored through the mobile app. In order to provide greater compatibility of devices, Savant has partnered with a number of companies such as: Honeywell, Philips, Marantz, Sony, and more.

What sets the Savant App apart from similar systems is that it goes beyond simple monitoring. Users can create and customize “scenes”, which manage multiple systems like a macro. In the mood to get frisky with the spouse? Activate the scene to dim lights, lock doors, and start the music playlist. Has it been an uncharacteristically hot day while you’re at work? Just select the scene that cools the house and runs the sprinklers. This kind of control can set individual rooms, too.

The Savant App also sends user notifications to stay in touch with what’s going on in the home. Whatever is out of the ordinary, be it temperature, security, or something else, you’ll never be left to wonder and worry.

Savant’s new product line will launch sometime the middle of November 2014. In the meantime, check out the Savant Systems website to see how home automation is made better.
