Control4 Introduces Second-Generation Operating System and App Marketplace

As if offering one of the most easily programmable home automation solutions on the market wasn’t enough, Control4 has released a second-generation operating system named, simply enough, Control4 OS 2.0. Along with the update comes a brand new 4Store Application Marketplace, which includes apps that give you access to your Facebook, Twitter, and RSS feeds right from the convenience of the touchpanel beside your couch or bed.

What’s more, the new Adobe Flash-based Control4 Navigator Interface gives your custom installer more power than ever before to easily create unique home pages, wallpapers, and screen savers. Creating favor pages for instant access to your favorite content is now a snap.

Keep an eye on Control4‘s website for info on additional language support. For now, OS 2.0 comes with support for seven tongues (French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, Ukranian, and English), but new languages can and will be added over time.
